PISCHL & PISCHL Loden: a Quality Product for Highest Demands
For centuries the making of loden and similar fabrics has been a home-based cottage industry of farmers. Wool of native sheep was used for hand-weaving, fulling and washing.
This kind of “loden” was the best protection against the cold and rain and soon these fabrics were refined to precious woollen fabrics that were to be highly regarded by kings and princes.
Today these fabrics are made using state-of-the-art machinery. The work process though is still the same as the handicraft one of back then.
