In Tortosendo, a parish in the municipality of Covilhã, we find FITECOM, a pioneering outfit in the textile sector and one of the main exporters in the region. It was founded in 1993 by three professionals with extensive experience in the main sectors of the textile industry.

Product quality is one of our primary concerns. For this reason we own an Invista-certified laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art technology to test quality; from the raw materials - right up to the finished product. We constantly invest in the research and development of new fabrics to ensure our sustained growth.
Fitecom is certified with the Oeko-Tex label and accredited by Invista in the "Lycra Assured" programme and for the application of Teflon finishing. It is licensed by “Australian Wool Innovation, Ltd" for the production and marketing of "Woolmark" products and by Advansa for the production and marketing of “Coolmax", "Thermolite" and "Thermocool" products.
